Becoming Catholic (RCIA)

The sacraments of Christian initiation – Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist – lay the foundations of every Christian life. “The sharing in the divine nature given to men through the grace of Christ bears a certain likeness to the origin, development, and nourishing of natural life. The faithful are born anew by Baptism, strengthened by the sacrament of Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life. By means of these sacraments of Christian initiation, they thus receive in increasing measure the treasures of the divine life and advance toward the perfection of charity.”

-Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1212

RCIA- The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is open to all those who are interested in becoming Catholic.

If you are interested in becoming a Catholic or perhaps you are already a Catholic and have not completed the sacraments of initiation, that is you have been baptized but not received the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist and would like to do so, RCIA is the program that will help you to complete the initiation process.

RCIA is also for children 7+, who wish to become Catholic. This entails either children who are unbaptized or baptized in another Christian denomination. RCIA is adapted to an age-appropriate level that provides the steps into the journey of the discovering of the Catholic faith and growing in their personal relationship with Jesus.
